Hungarian Foreign Minister To Visit Belarus

Péter Szijjártó will visit Minsk on October 31.

Hungarian Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó will visit Minsk on October 31. There he will take part in a conference on “Eurasian security.”

This is reported by Politico.

Szijjártó will attend an event that will also be attended by Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and Syrian Foreign Minister Bassam Sabbagh.

According to the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO), such a conference should become an “alternative” to the Munich Security Conference.

Politico notes that Szijjártó’s visits to Russia and Belarus are no longer surprising, but a possible connection with the regime in Syria, which Moscow supports, may indicate an improvement in relations between the parties.
