A business conference “On Development Problems of Business and Improving Business Climate in the republic of Belarus” is held to day in the Palace of the Republic in Minsk. But entrepreneurs’ leaders, who organised protest actions on 10 and 21 January, were not allowed to the conference.

As the Charter’97 press center has learnt, leaders of the campaign “For Free Development of Business,” including Viktar Garbachou, Viktar Kalei, Alyaksandr Tsatsura, and Viktar Kryval, were invited to the conference on Friday.

But today the conference organisers said there “wasn’t enough places” in the Palace of the Republic for the representatives of the campaign “For Free Development of Business.”

It’s worthy to note that Alyaksandr Tsatsura was detained in Saligorsk yesterday. According to Radio Svaboda, the activist spent the night in prison and is to stand trial today. He was accused of holding an “unauthorised rally.”

About 100 entrepreneurs came to the square in front of the Saligorsk city executive committee yesterday. Alyaksandr Tsatsura was collecting votes under the address to “deputies” against cancelling of the decree №760.
