Foreign Ministry of the Czech Republic with a reference to reports of OSCE and US observers has stated today that the “parliamentary vote” in Belarus fell short of the European Standards.
The Foreign Ministry emphasizes that “reinforcement of the dialogue between Belarus and the EU depends on the further steps of the Belarusian government. In case interest would be noticed on the part of Belarus, the Czech Republic is ready to hold talks about a possibility of such a dialogue with its partners in the EU”. “An interest for economic cooperation and a possibility of a political dialogue still exists in the Czech Republic,” the statement reads.
