Participants of Process of Fourteen demand release of Alyaksandar Barazenka

Yesterday during the interrogation in the investigation department of Minsk police the activist was arrested and placed to a remand prison in Valadarski Street.
Today Alyaksandar Barazenka’s companions, young people who were accused and were convicted in the high-profile criminal case to different tars of corrective work, addressed investigator Paval Mikhalkevich with an appeal to change the measure of restraint for the detained Alyaksandar Barazenka for a written undertaking not to leave the place.
“The young man’s actions were very open and honest. He came to the investigator openly and didn’t expect such a mean move against him,” a Young Front activist Uladzimir Syarheyeu.
Uladzimir Syarheyeu underlined necessity of taking a decision on the measure of restraint for Alyaksandar Barazenka in the first three days. According to the young man, then it would be possible to change the situation in some way.
As we have informed, yesterday evening Alyaksandar Barazenka was taken under arrest in connection with the criminal action initiated against him on charges relating organizing mass protests of Belarusian market vendors in January this year. Right after the detention on decision of the investigator the young activist was forwarded into the remand prison in Valadarski Street in Minsk.
