Confirmed officially: Paulichenka doesn’t command special forces of interior troops any more

Militia colonel Yury Karaeu was appointed commander of the third independent special purpose brigade decorated with the Order of the Red Banner of the internal troops of the Ministry of Internal Affaires of Belarus.

Interfax-Zapad has learnt it from the internal troops.

“Yury Karaeu, appointed commander of the third special forces brigade, was introduced to the personnel.

Dzmitry Paulichenka, previous commander of this brigade, was sent under command of the chief of the internal troops.

As it was informed earlier, in July current year, Karaeu was appointed commander of the Minsk riot militia instead of Yury Padabed. It is unknown who will command the Minsk riot militia now.

It should be reminded that Dzmitry Paulichenka, as well as minister of internal affaires Uladzimir Navumau, former secretary of the Security Council Viktar Sheiman, former interior minister Yury Sivakou are suspected by the international community in kidnapping and murders of leaders of the Belarusian opposition Yury Zakharanka, Viktar Hanchar, Anatol Krasouski, and Zmitser Zavadski. He is banned entry EU countries and the US.
