Human rights organisation Reporters without Borders calls to release Alyaksandr Zdzvizhkou, former editor of the newspaper “Zhoda” and present political prisoner, who had been sentenced to 3 years of imprisonment in medium security colony for reprinting cartoons of the Prophet Mohammed.
The statement on the official site of the organisation says it.
Reporters without borders note the early release of opposition activist Andrei Klimau on 15 February is “a gesture aimed at improving relations with the European Union.” “The release of political prisoners as a goodwill gesture has always been a prior condition of any rapprochement with the EU,” the statement stresses.
