People in Germany demand Belarusian authorities to release political prisoners (Photo)

An action of solidarity with victims of repressions in Belarus was held in the German town Munster. Applicant for the picket Inha Avramava, activist of the “For Freedom” movement from Brest, informed about it.

According to Brest human rights activist Raman Kislyak, the action took place in the Munster center near the city hall on 16 May. Participants of the picket, citizens of Belarus, Germany, Poland and Romania, bore posters in hands, writing in German “Belarus needs European solidarity” and “Together we can make Belarus free.”

The participants of the action unfurled portraits of Belarusian political prisoners: Alyaksandr Kazulin, leader of the Belarusian Social Democratic Party (Hramada) and former presidential candidate, opposition activists Andrei Kim and Syarhei Parsyukevich, and portraits of the disappeared people – Yury Zakharanka, Viktar Hanchar, Anatol Krasouski and journalist Dzmitry Zavadski.

The activists formed a national white-red-white flag and a figure 16 out of white and red candles. Anatol Krasouski and Viktar Hanchar were kidnapped on 16 September. The participants of the action handed out leaflets with the information about Belarus to passers-by.

– By the way, the Brest activist received a permission of the local police to hold a picket on telephone, – the human rights activist stressed.
