A performance dedicated to boycott of the oncoming election for the “house of representatives” was held at Independence Square in Minsk yesterday. It is there where the Central Election Commission of Belarus is situated.
Soem young people appeared at the square at 8.00 pm. They began to drived bolts in the ground and pavement slabs (Note – expression drive bolt has figurative meaning of ignoring something). This action attracts attention of many young people, who were at the square at that time. Many of them began to take video of the performance with their cell phones. Some of them asked what the action was dedicated to.
Everything became clear after some minutes, when the young people unfurled a banner “Boycott”.
The action lasted for 10 minutes, after that the participants went away. None of them was detained.
