Head of the Central Election Commission Lidziya Yarmoshyna hopes that “parliamentary election” in Belarus will be recognised by the international society.
“We should hope for the best,” Lidziya Yarmoshyna said at a press conference in Minsk. She emphasised that Belarusian organisers of the “election” “do their best and demonstrate full openness”.
Commenting on notes of the OSCE ODIHR mission, L. Yarmoshyna said “now they criticise the moments, they were agree in 2004 with, for example, restrictions for convicted persons”. Besides, she noted that the OSCE thinks the “election” in Belarus is too quiet without scandals and debates. L. Yarmoshyna links this fact with insufficient public practice of MP candidates.
It should be reminded that CEC head Lidziya Yarmoshyna is banned entry to the EU and the US due to rigging of the “elections” results in Belarus.
