Vintsuk Vyachorka denied registration by CEC

The CEC has finished consideration of complaints against denials to register candidates for deputies. Only 8 complaints have been satisfied over the last two days out of 51, and 3 today.

The complaint of a deputy head of the Belarusian popular Front party leader Vintsuk Vyachorka was one of the latest to be considered. The CEC denied him registration, upholding the decision of the district commission, Radio Svaboda informs,

The formal reason for adoption of such a decision was the fact that signatures of voters of two different districts of Minsk were collected in his support. Though these two districts are parts of the same constituency, according to the rights of signatures collection, signatures lists were to be filled in separately.

The decision of the CEC can be challenged in the Supreme Court within three days.
