Arrests and searches of participants of election boycott campaign

An apartment of Young Front activist Dzyanis Karnou has been searched today. Information materials calling to boycott the oncoming “parliamentary election” have been seized.

When Dzyanis Karnoiu returned home today, he met militia officers waiting for him at the apartment. Militiamen didn’t show a search warrant.

Having seized information materials, militiamen detained the Young Front activist. According to the information of the organisation members, the activist may be kept in the Tsentralny district militia department of Minsk.

Young Front member Vadzim Khanyauka has been detained by militia today, too.

The boy managed to send an sms to his friends saying he was being guarded to the Tsentralny district militia department. After three hours, Vadzim’s friends addressed the militia, the KGB and court, but were said everywhere Vadzim’t location was unknown.

Vadzim Khanyauka was invited to the KGB for a conversation two weeks ago.
