“European Belarus” activists spent 12 hours under detention for “Boycott” stickers (updated)

Activists of the “European Belarus” civil campaign Ivan Amelchanka and Syarhei Makarevich were detained in the Minsk center for spreading stickers calling to boycott the oncoming “parliamentary election” yesterday.

The activists were guarded to the Leninski district of Minsk at 11 pm. Minors Amelchanka and Makarevich spent the night under detention.

The activists were set free only at 11 in the morning today. A report on article 21.14 of the Code of Administrative Offences (violation of rules of inhabited locality) was drawn up against them. The administrative commission is to consider the cases of the activists on September 24.
