Barysau authorities breaking agitation of opposition candidates

Editor-in-chief of independent “Borisovskie Novosti” newspaper Anatol Bukas said the local authorities were upsetting the agitation campaign.
“Barysau authorities scheduled the first meeting with the registered candidates for the “house of representatives” only for September 9. So, the candidates weren’t able to carry on agitation campaign for the last two weeks. It is a preparation for the “election” in Barysau,” A. Bukas told inan interview ot Radio Svaboda.
The journalist also said about increased control over the “election campaign” and pressure over registered candidates. “The officials, who manage this “election campaign”, warn us that we should say about our meeetigns with the electorate beforehand and approve them. otherwise, they threat to issue a formal notice,” A. Bukas noted.
It should be reminded that Anatol Bukas is an MP candidate in Barysau city constituency #62.
