Today the leader of “Moladz BNF” Franak Vyachorka has been taken from the military hospital to the military enlistment office forcibly. Hi smother, Aryna Vyachorka, arrested.
Today morning policemen and Lukashenka’ security service officers arrived to the republican military hospital where the leader of “Moladz BNF” Franak Vyachorka was undergoing medical examination.
As Franak’s father, the deputy head of the Belarusian Popular Front party Vintsuk Vyachorka, policemen and security service officers burst into the ward where Franak Vyachorka stayed.
They explained to the youth leader that he would be taken to the military enlistment office of Savetski district of Minsk, Radio Svaboda informs. They started beating up the young man before the eyes of his fellow patients. Vintsuk Vyachorka told that for about three minutes he heard on the phone his son being beaten up. He heard Franak shouting it hurts, and asked for a chance to go to the car himself. He also heard that an officer said that it was executing an order.
Vintsuk Vyachorka told that after that Franak was forcibly dragged out of the ward, and then he was thrown into the police car. Security service officers in a jeep were driving in front of them.
Doctors of the hospital haven’t answered whether the results of the medical examination are read. The young man was said that he would learn everything in the military enlistment office. As said by Franak Vyachorka, physicians haven’t carried out check-up of his eyesight, though he had been given a determent because of an eye surgery. An orthopedist and cardiologist haven’t checked him up yet.
Vintsuk Vyachorka called actions of the hospital’s doctors and officers who were beating up his son disgraceful.
Later parents of Franak Vyachorka arrived to the military enlistment office, where their son had been taken forcibly. During a conversation the activist’s mother, Aryna Vyachorka, banged the door of the office so strong that a glass broke. It was a reason for her arrest.
Meanwhile, Franak Vyachorka was served a writ that he is to arrive to the military enlistment office at 4 p.m. today, to be sent to the military unit. After he stated that he needs time for lodging an appeal to the court against actions of policemen and officers, he was released and given a writ for January 26.
As we have informed, yesterday the European Parliament adopted a resolution on Belarus, noting great “success in democratization” by the Belarusian authorities.
Forcible attempts to detain Franak Vyachorka and sent him to the army started after beating up of him and his father Vintsuk Vyachorka by riot policemen during the rally of solidarity on September 16, 2008.
