“Young Front” activist from Baranavichy Pyotr Ruzau was detained yesterday’s night.

Pyotr Ruzau was accused of intended damage of property; administrative report under article 10.9 was drawn up against the activist.

“I was set free after the report had been drawn up. They said I would receive a summons later,” the “Young Front” activist told.

It’s not the first detention of young activists for graffiti demanding to release political prisoners.

On May 10, “Young Front” activists Artsyom Dubski and Tatsyana Kasinchuk were detained in Asipovichy for drawing “Freedom for Autukhovich!” on a wall.

Arrested leader of entrepreneurs Mikalai Autukhovich went on indefinite hunger strike on April 16 demanding to release him and other prisoners of conscience Yury Lyavonau and Uladzimir Asipenka.

On May 4, a number of political and public figures of Belarus went on indefinite hunger strike to support detained entrepreneurs from Vaukavysk, kept in pre-trial detention center #1 in Minsk. Among the participants of the strike are former political prisoners Andrei Kim, Mikalai Statkevich, Syarhei Skrabets, Artsyom Dubski, Enira Branitskaya, leader of the coordinative council of entrepreneurs Alyaksandr Makaeu, “Young Front” activists Anastasiya Palazhanka, Mikola Dzyamidzenka, Kasya Salauyova, Yaraslau Hryshchenya, Artsyom Lastavetski, Darya Latushkina, public activist from Brest Natallya Kastsyuchyk, activist of the Belarusian Christian Democracy Iryna Hubskaya, and others.

The participants of the hunger strike demand to free the arrested leader of entrepreneurs Mikalai Autukhovich, Yury Lyavonau, and Uladzimir Asipenka from charges, release them immediately, rehabilitate all political prisoners in the country, and stop political motivated persecuting of people.
