Leaflets about hunger strike of political prisoner Autukhovich disseminated in Minsk (Photo)

Activists of the civil campaign “European Belarus” informs Minks dwellers that the political prisoner continues the hunger strike for the entire month already.

As we have informed, the arrested leader of entrepreneurs Mikalai Autukhovich continues the hunger strike since April 16. He demands immediate release of himself and two more political prisoners, Uladzimir Asipenka and Yury Lyavonau.

Since May 1, rallies of solidarity with political prisoners are held in Minsk. Each rally was disbanded by riot policemen.

On May 7 several hundreds of people with portraits of the former Interior Minister Yury Zakharanka abducted 10 years ago gathered on October Square in Minsk. Protesters also held portraits of political prisoners Mikalai Autukhovich, Yuri Lyavonau and Uladzimir Asipenka. Riot policemen disbanded the rally. Before and after the rally dozens of oppositionists were beaten up and arrested.

On the same day it was announced that rallies on October Square are suspended for some period, and protests with a demand to release political prisoners would be held in different parts of the city every day.
