Opposition not allowed to election commissions in Mahilou

The reason for the refusal is cynical – the lack of experience in working in precinct election commissions.
Opposition representatives haven’t been included in precinct election commissions at the presidential election.
BelaPAN news agency learnt this from Yury Novikau, the head of the regional democratic forces coalition.
According to him, sitting of the administrations of Leninski and Kastrychnitski city districts on forming precinct election commissions were held on November 1 and 2. None of the representatives of the registered opposition organizations in the composition of the collation haven’t been included in commissions.
As Barys Bukhel, an observer representing BPF Adradzenne NGO, says, the main reason for the refusal was the lack of experience in working in precinct election commissions. “How can opposition members have this experience if they are never enrolled in commissions?” Bukhel wonders.
The regional democratic forces coalition nominated 79 persons for precinct election commissions of Leninski district of Mahilou and 31 persons for Kastrychnitski district.
The opposition representatives intend to go to law against the decisions by the district administrations.
