Statkevich: Lukashenka’s rating is 22-23%

Information about Lukashenka’s rating was received during the period of signatures collection by the initiative group of the candidate.

The rating of Alyaksandr Lukashenka in Minsk is 22-23%, stated the presidential candidate Mikalai Statkevich at the Enterprise Forum “Perspektiva” Programme — business message for the future president of Belarus” , the organizer of which became RPO “Perspektiva”, BelaPAN reports.

“While collecting signatures, the volunteers were filling in a special table indicating the number of the house, the flat, and were also writing down the mood of the citizens. According to this table, Lukashenka is supported in the capital by 22-23%,” the politician explained.

At the same time he noted, that there was apathy towards the elections seen in Minsk: “At the moment of signatures collection less than half of the citizens of the capital showed their willingness to come to the election.”

According to his words, low attendance is advantageous to the authorities, this gives them an opportunity to make the number of those who have voted for Lukashenka to be 80%.

Statkevich said that Lukashenka’s rating in the regions is about 30%: “But there is big antagonism against the current authorities in certain population layers there. People are embittered.”
