Large fines for rally of solidarity with Autukhovich and Asipenka

In the court of Partyzanski district of Minsk activists of the civil campaign “European Belarus” have been convicted. They were detained yesterday for a picket in support of political prisoners.
Maxim Vinyarski, Palina Kuryanovich and Palina Dzyakava were detained by police and spent the night in prison in Akrestsin Street in Minsk. Today they were taken to the court of Partyzanski district. Activists were charged with violation of Article 33.34 of the Administrative Code (regulations regarding street rallies and pickets), “European Belarus” website informs.
Judges Chatsvyarkova and Barysyonak sentenced the activists to large fines: Palina Kuryanovich – to Br 1 mln 50 thousands, Palina Dzyakava to Br 1 mln 325 thousands, Maxim Vinyarski to Br 700,000.
We remind that yesterday in Minsk activists of “European Belarus” held a rally in support of political prisoners Mikalai Autukhovich and Uladzimir Asipenka, the trial over whom started yesterday in the Supreme Court. Despite of the fact that the oppositionists were detained on March 10 in the morning, they stood trial on March 11. They spent the night in prison in Akrestsin Street.
