The Belarusian ruler made a statement about searches of independent journalists in Belarus.
“I have begun to give more and more attention to the situation in the media, both our and Russian. There has recently been a scandal about some opposition newspapers and journalists. We’ll provide you with information after the examination, because these opposition clans have their centers in Russia,” Alyaksandr Lukashenka said today at a meeting with Igor Shuvalov, the deputy prime minister of Russia.
“You may be shocked at what we are going to show you and the West. You will be surprised to see how selfish certain figures can be. They work for those who pay then, that’s a fact,” the Belarusian ruler said.
As said by Lukashenka, “Whatever insinuations are made about problems, that exist now and have always existed, even in the Soviet times, we are resolved to fulfill our tasks,” electroname.com informs referring to BelTA.
Alyaksandr Lukashenka added that he began to believe in existence of a fifth column that would like to break any bilateral undertaking. “Any step in the necessary direction is torpedoed. I proceed from a position that we do not have barriers and obstacles in our relations that couldn’t be overcome,” he said.
We remind that militia organized raid against Belarusian opposition journalists in March.
