More than 80 relatives of the civilians killed in Bishkek on April 7 held a protest action near the embassy in Belarus on Thursday.
The protesters demand to former president Kurmanbek Bakiyev, accused of mass killings in Kyrgyzstan, to be extradited, Interfax reports.
A notice saying the embassy doesn’t work for technical reasons was pasted on the building. None of the embassy staff came out to the mob. The relatives of the killed people hung posters on the fence calling on Alyaksandr Lukashenka to extradite Bakiyev to Kyrgyzstan.
Besides, posters “Bakiyev is a killer and butcher” and “Bakiyev, be a man, shoot yourself!” were also noticed.
According to the police, the protest action gathered 85 people, who didn’t violate public order, held a picket near the embassy of Belarus and dispersed an hour later.
