Russia agreed with Ukraine on gas transit to Europe

Ukraine is ready to increase transit of Russian gas to Europe because of the problems with its deliveries through Belarus.

RBC has been informed about that by a source in the Ukrainian government. According to the source, on June 17 Ukrtransgaz company has received a request to find alternative variants of gas deliveries by Gazprom Export (a subsidiary of Gazprom). At 10 a.m. Moscow time the Ukrainian gas transportation system was ready to receive additional gas, but it is not pumped yet because of the insignificant decrease of deliveries to Belarus, the source underlined.

It is expected that cutting gas deliveries through Belarus would make at least 6 million cubic metres a day. Ukrtransgaz will hold action meetings on the situation with the transit every two hours.
