Leader of the United Civil Party commented the appeal of the opposition to UN Security Council.

Belarusian democrats called upon UN Security Council to scrutinize the issue of the disappeared leaders of the opposition and public figures of Belarus and ensure the international investigation of fates of the lost.

“For us will be a victory the fact of discussing of this issue in UN Security Council. Most likely, it will be difficult to take a decision, as in case with Lebanon, and the major problem here will be not Russia, but China, which now has particularly friendly relations with Lukashenka. But, everything flows, everything changes. Russian politics is quite dynamic now, and in order not to lose Belarus once and for all, RF authorities have to change their relations with our country. One cannot support the past, the day before yesterday. One should focus on citizens, and not on one politic. There is a chance that UN Security Council will accept our appeal. Lukashenka lost his monopoly over Belarusian-Russian relations”, - declared Anatol Lyabedzka in his interview to charter97.org site.
