Lukashenka sent greetings to Luzhkov on his birthday

Unlike Dmitry Medvedev’s congratulations, this message has appeared in all state-run mass media.
Alyaksandr Lukashenka has congratulated Mayor of Moscow Yury Luzhkov on his birthday, reports Belta, an official news agency, with a reference to the press-service of the Belarusian ruler.
“I am glad that multifaceted cooperation between the Republic of Belarus and the capital of the brotherly Russia is continued and filled with meaningful work based upon friendly mutual understanding,” the message reads.
Lukashenka expressed certainty that in the future Yury Luzhkov is to continue masking serious contribution in strengthening of mutually beneficial Belarusian-Russian relations.
The leader has wished Luzhkov and his family health, happiness and luck.
We remind that TV programs and news items which lauched the smear campaign against Yury Luzhkov, were broadcast at NTV channel, First Channel, Russia 1 and Russia 24 in the period from September 10-12. Next weekend the criticism was continued: NTV aired a film “Dear Elena Nikolayevna” (about Mayor’s wife Elena Baturina) and Russia channel – a film “Moscow. Self-liquidation” about demolition of historic buildings in the capital of Russia.
Luzhkov dismisses all charges against him; both Moscow government and Inteko company owned by Baturina stated that they are going to o to court to defend their reputation. Moscow mayor took a holiday for a month and left for Austria: he is going to celebrate his 74th birthday with his family there.
A film “It’s in a cap” by NTV was created by the authors of “Godbatka” film disclosing the deeds of the Belarusian dictator.
