EU extends black list of Lukashenka’s thugs

The Council of the European Union has extended the list of Belarusian officials subject to the EU restrictive measures.

As the Council’s communiqué following the foreign ministers’ meeting says that the decision was taken “in view of the gravity of the situation in Belarus”.

19 Belarusian officials will be added to the black list.

The new decision comes into force on March 22, when the extended list is expected to be published on the EU official bulletin.
