The prime suspect in the terrorist act in Minsk is a native of Minsk.

It has been stated by the first deputy Interior Minister Aleh Pyakarski (Pekarski) in a television broadcast of ONT channel.

As said by him, this man arrived to October (Kastrychnitskaya) metro station from Frunzenskaya metro station. In order to find him, among other measures, police worked with taxi drivers in this area. The suspect and two more persons rented a flat exactly near Frunzenskaya metro station. The suspects were located, when one of them was traced from the shop where he had bought alcohol. Judging by the words of Pyakarski, police went by the rulebook detaining the criminals, including smashing down the door. It happened on April 13 overnight. Remarkably, as noted by the deputy minister, the prime suspect started to give evidence at about 5 a.m., and he was sobering up before that, BelaPAN reports.

As said by Pyakarski, if the terrorist act suspect were not found before April 13, the law-enforcing agencies would address citizens for assistance.
