On April 25, former head of BPF Youth Ales Kalita, accused of disorderly conduct, stands trial in the Chyhunachny district court of Homel.
BelaPAN news agency was told in the Homel pretrial detention facility that the activist was in a detention facility. As material of the case say, he “was using obscene language and instigated a fight”.
According to unofficial information, Kalita was detained on the night of April 23, when he was returning to his grandfather’s funeral via Homel.
The activist served in the same military unit with the supposed perpetrator of the terrorist attack in Minsk metro on April 11. Some opposition activists think his detention was not an accident: the la-enforcement agencies want to check the young man in connection with investigation of the metro blast.
