Jailers refused to accept medicines for Zmitser Bandarenka

The state of health of Zmitser Bandarenka, a “European Belarus” coordinator, who has spent 4 months in the KGB jail already, is disturbing.

Today the wife of the political prisoner Volha Bandarenka has been given back by the KGB remand prison staff the medicines Zmitser had asked to bring him during his latest meeting with the lawyer on Monday. The prisoners refused to pass some food products: sausages and cucumbers, saying he is on a diet.

We remind that in the KGB remand prison the spinal column and joints’ diseases of a political prisoner Zmitser Bandarenka aggravated, he can hardly move. He cannot receive competent medical help in the prison, however his request to be hospitalised was declined. Zmitser’s stomach ulcer opened because of pain-killers and anti-inflammatory drugs.
