Andrei Sannikov: “Hi, mother”

  • 23.05.2011, 17:39

Alla Sannikova, the mother of presidential candidate Andrei Sannikov, has been permitted to see her son for the first time in five months.

As Alla Sannikova said, she visited the court of the Partyzanski district, where the verdict to her son was pronounced. She was told there a meeting was allowed.

The mother of the imprisoned politician has not decided yet when she would go to a detention facility of the Interior Ministry, where Andrei Sannikov is kept. She noted the permit is valid for three days.

Andrei Sannikov sent a letter to his mother just after delivering the verdict:

“Hi, mother. I was happy to see all of you, especially you. I was happy to convince that you are alive and healthy. They allowed us to see each other, but not to talk. What an absurd again.

Lesha (his second cousin) is a real hero. Yet with a walking stick, but he moves vigorously. Galya (his second cousin) worried so much. You needn’t really worry that much – I am alive and healthy. I am glad you got acquainted with my guys. Nice to see them with you. I saw everyone and I’m thankful to everyone. This support is very important for me. I am not guilty before God and people. Those trying to prove the contrary are criminals.

A new stage is beginning. It needs to be pondered on. Take care of you. Hugs and kisses.”

We remind that Andrei Sannikov was sentenced to five years in a medium security penal colony. Sannikov was found guilty under part 1 of article 293 of the Criminal Code (organizing mass riot).

Alla Sannikova, 78, has gone to the KGB jail for five months to pass parcels to her son. She also attended all trials against her son.
