The dictator bunkoed Russia in joint potassium exports

The authorities buried the idea of joint exports of potassium fertilizers with Russia via the Belarusian Potash Company.
The respective amendments to the current legislation were made by the decree No566 as of 22 December 2012, AFN reports.
In essence, Lukashenka assured himself the right to delegate the exclusive right to carry out foreign trade (in terms of export) on mineral or chemical potassium fertilizers to any enterprise apart from Belaruskali and BPC.
“…the exclusive right for foreign trade (in terms of export) on mineral or chemical potassium fertilizers (further – potassium fertilizers) is secured for the state and I exercised by the public company Belaruskali, closed corporation Belarusian Potash Company and other organizations, identified by the president of the Republic of Belarus”, - the Belarusian legislation now states.
It is worth noting that the given alteration of the potassium export scheme not only completely brings to nothing the idea of turning BPC into Unionkali, but also the joint export of fertilizers with the goal of reaching a greater world market share and influencing the prices.
In the official commentary the Belneftekhim concern explained the necessity of adopting the decree with “certain complications with export sales of potassium chloride at the end of the current year”.
