Most people were scared of Lukashenka masks.
A public action was organized by activists of Tell the Truth campaign near the Kamarouski market on Friday. The performance was titled “Horseradish from president”, a word play in Russian referring to the idiom “get horseradish from someone” meaning get nothing or get a harsh refusal from someone.
Two young men wearing Lukashneka masks were handing round horseradish roots to passers-by.
The action ended without detentions. According to “Nasha Niva” newspaper, most people were scared of Lukashenka and refused to take vegetables. However, some grabbed the freebie.
