Uladzimir Kobets: Belarus bought Slovenia's veto

The campaign manager for presidential candidate Andrei Sannikov comments on lobbying of Belarusian oligarch Yury Chyzh's interests by Slovenia.
“It's astonishing that a veto on adding Chyzh to the blacklist was put by a country, who joined the European Union a very short time ago, a country that saw the terror of Milosevic's rule, but maintained its independence by repelling the armed attack of his army.
The democratic values accepted by the state by joining the EU turned out to be not important for the current government of Slovenia as soon as money question was touched.
The price of the issue is a dubious tender won by a Slovenian company, the tender organized by Belarus to 'buy' a veto on extending the EU sanctions,” Uladzimir Kobets told charter97.org website.
