Zmitser Dashkevich remains optimistic

Barys Vyrvich, a journalist from Byalynichy, received a letter from political prisoner Zmirtser Dashkevich on February 8.

Zmitser writes about himself and shares his views on the forthcoming electoral campaign.

“I feel Zmitser is in a normal mood. He remains courageous as always,” Barys Vyrvich says. “Zmitser writes “I am fine, you don't need to worry. Everything is under control. Under God's total control!' it's clear what sort of control he means and why he cannot tell more details about his prison life under 'God's total control'. I hope Zmitser will get through all ordeals and hardships. The whole democratic community in the country knows well about Zmitser's courage and stamina.”

Zmitser ends his letter with an optimistic quote from the Bible: “Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ.”
