“Belarusian Week” to be held in Vilnius

“Belarusian Week” is to be held in Vilnius on March 19-25.
The week is organized by the Belarusian democratic community of Lithuania with the support of Vilnius city self-government. The program of the festive week includes all kind of events, which are to be culminated by a celebration of Freedom Day! The festive opening of the Belarusian Week is to be held in Vilnius city municipality on March 19.
On March 21 a round table discussion dedicated to the issues of Belarusian-Lithuanian ties will be held, and on March 23 the Central Archive of Lithuania and the European Humanities University will host the exhibition “An Unknown BNR”. The events will continue on March 24 and 25. on Saturday, March 24 Belarusians are invited for a welcome reception and a gala concert to Vilnius City Hall, and on March 25 to laying flowers to the signees of the Declaration of Independence of the Belarusian People’s Republic (BNR) of March 25, 1918. “The Belarusian Week” will be finished by a motor rally across Vilnius under national flags.
The steering committee of the Belarusian Week invites all Belarusians of Vilnius, as well as guests of the capital of Lithuania, to join in the celebration dedicated to Freedom Day!
