The politicians plans to file a counterclaim against the Belarusian ruler in response to a claim by an employee of the Mozyr oil refinery.
Viktar Ivashkevich thinks it is statements and actions by Alyaksandr Lukashenka that provoke European politicians to impose sanctions.
“I am considering this possibility, though I have no free time to launch court proceedings. I am going to consult with a lawyer and file a counterclaim as it often occur in judicial practice,” he said in an interview for Euroradio.
We remind Maryna Tsyblienka, an employee of the oil refinery in Mozyr, was reported by official media to have filed a claim against Viktar Ivashkevich for his calls on European companies to boycott Belarusian oil products. She wants Viktar Ivashkevich to pay 500,000 rubles to compensate for the moral damage caused to her by politician's remarks.
Ivashkevich does not know so far to which court the claim was filed. He also does not know which court and on what grounds imposed a travel ban on him.
