Moving the office of the Belarusian Potash Company under the jurisdiction of Switzerland will be protected Belarus from possible economic sanctions of EU and USA for the supply of fertilizers, said an analyst of russian company Aton Michael Pak.
"The initiative to re-register a company in Switzerland - is a good idea. The Company will remove the political and country risks," - said he.
It will give the company a competitive advantage and an effective trade financing for the implementation of joint investment projects in the markets.
The Russian Uralkali and Belaruskali are considering the possibilities of further development of joint venture on sales of potash - Belarusian Potash Company, the shareholders of which they currently are. According to Uralkali CEO Vladislav Baumgertner, this scheme of sales is worked well, as it provides leadership in the global export market of potassium chloride.
According to him, the sides are discussing strategic and tactical steps to enhance cooperation, including the possibility of joint investment in logistics infrastructure for the whole chain of goods movement.
