Materials to initiate a new criminal case against an opposition activist for “violation of prison rules” were filed to the Investigation Committee.
Zmitser's fiancee Anastasia Palazhanka learned the news today after a visit to penal colony No. 13 in Hlubokaye, the Young Front press service reports.
Zmitser Dashkevich was thrown into a punishment cell for 13 days just after his transfer to barracks. Dashkevich later learned he was sentenced to additional days in a punishment cell for the offences he had allegedly committed earlier. In response to a possible initiating a new criminal case, Dashkevich filed the following appeal to the administration of penal colony No. 13:
“Acknowledgement of guilt
Dear Mr Chief of penal colony No. 13,
I admit my guilt of intentional refusal to obey some demands of the colony administration which I find illegal.
To simplify the work for committee's provocateurs, agents and investigators I refuse to fulfill all demands of the administration of any penal colony wherever I serve my sentence.
I advise the Belarusian secret services to give me a maximum prison term provided for by article 411 of the Criminal Code of Belarus and open new criminal cases against me in all new penal colonies.

If Zmitser Dashkevich is found guilty under the mentioned article, his prison term may be extended for one year. We remind the opposition activist was detained ahead of the 2010 post-election protests and sentenced to 2 years allegedly for disorderly conduct. He is to be released on December 18, 2012.
