The Parliamentary Committee on National Security and Defense (PCNSD) will hold an extraordinary meeting.
The Chairman of PCNSD Arvydas Anushauskas reported that an extraordinary meeting will be held on August 21-22, writes ru.delfi.lt.
"Answers from responsible agencies on flight of the Swedish aircraft have already been received. We met with the leaders and received the initial information", - said Anushauskas.
On August 10 Lithuanian MP Valentinas Mazuronis demanded that Anushauskas, as quickly as possible, convened a meeting of PCNSD and reviewed the issue of violation of the Lithuanian-Belarusian border, when the aircraft with Swedish pilots, supposedly, threw away one thousand teddy bears.
Belarusian official agencies reported on Aug. 8 that they appealed to Lithuania and Sweden, with a request for legal assistance in the investigation of possible violations of the border.
Head of the Centre for Information and Public Relations of KGB of Belarus Aliaxandar Antonavich said that the corresponding appeals are addressed through the Prosecutor’s General Office of Belarus.
On August 9, Lithuanian Defense Minister Rasa Jukneviciene stated that Lithuania does not have any information about the incident involving the "Teddy Bears" in Belarus, and Minsk request for legal assistance will be considered in accordance with applicable laws.
