This statement was made by member of the Bundestag Marieluise Beck in connection with information on training of Belarusian security forces in Germany.
"Meanwhile German public questions the cooperation between German and Belarusian Interior Ministries, we have information about an unacceptable involvement of Interpol to the show trial of Uladislau Kavalyou and Dmitry Kanavalau, who were executed, but, according to legal criteria, were innocent.
So, on May 12, 2011, the Secretary General of Interpol Ronald Noble suspended his participation in the European regional conference in Malta in order to meet with the Head of Interior Ministry of Belarus Anatol Kuliashou in Minsk. The visit was related to attack in Minsk metro in April.
Despite the fact that at the international level already existed a consensus on the ambiguity of guilt of convicted (confession after tortures, prolonged litigation without sufficient evidence), the chief of Interpol have not found anything better than to approve these scandalous actions. He also noted the "professionalism" of Belarusian investigators.
Execution of Uladislau Kavaleu and Dmitry Kanavalau was sharply criticized by different organizations, including the Council of Europe, and Lukashenka was boasting that Interpol has connection to Minsk шnvestigation", - said Marieluise Beck.
According to the Bundestag, in August, Interpol also noted that it has no doubt in the investigation of the crime and in who was named the guilty one, reports "Radio Liberty".
