Ukraine plans to appeal to the International Court of Justice against Russia over financing terrorism.
Journalists learnt it from the country's minister of justice Pavlo Petrenko, Ukrainskiye Novosti reports.
“We are working to submit a number of claims to the International Court of Justice regarding the conventions, in which Russia gave its consent to compulsory judicial proceedings, in particular, on the issue on the ban on terrorism financing,” he said.
The minister noted that under the court rules, pretrial consultations before submitting a claim may take from 6 to 12 months.
If a compromise between the parties is not reached at this stage, one of the parties has the right to apply to the International Court of Justice.
