The decision on Aliaksandr Lukashenka’s possible participation in the European Partnership Summit in Riga will be considered after the reply of the Belarusian party to the invitation.
A correspondent of Ukrinform learnt it from a high-ranking EU diplomat in Brussels.
All six Eastern Partnership countries received invitations to the Riga Summit. Belarus hasn’t answered if it accepts the invitation. The decision of the representation of the country will be considered after the Belarusian party confirms its participation in the summit, the diplomat says.
Aliaksandr Lukashenka said today at a meeting with EU Commissioner for European Neighborhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations Johannes Hahn that he wanted the Easter Partnership to be reformatted.
