Tatsiana Seviarynets: I Always Start My Day With Charter-97

For many Belarusians, the site has become a window on the world of information.
Tatsiana Seviarynets, a teacher with many years' experience, a coordinator of the organizing committee for the creation of the Belarusian Christian Democracy party, stated that commenting on the blocking of the Charter97.org site in Belarus:
– I was very upset by the blocking of the site, because I always started my day with Charter-97. I used to wake up, switch on the computer, open the tab of Charter97.org and I could find all the news that interested me on this site.
It's no secret that Charter-97 always succeeds to cover the most interesting, needful and high-profile events. I was lucky that on the day when you were blocked, my son called me (well-known opposition politician Pavel Seviarynets – Ed.) and told me how to bypass the blocking.
I believe that the Charter-97 blocking is a real attack on freedom of speech, freedom of information that a person can receive. For many Belarusians, Charter became a window on the world of truthful and on-the-spot facts.
I do not understand the Europeans, who have not yet realized that the Belarusian authorities are trying to play loser's chess with them, as with small children. The blocking of such a popular and authoritative portal as Charter97.org is a signal.
I wish the website to be unblocked as soon as possible, and Charter97.org editor-in-chief Natallia Radzina to take advantage of her credibility, appeal to the embassies, and I wish it worked out. I hope that we’ll read the site as normal soon.
