The Belarusian side must repatriate them.
The European Union will not let any migrants from the territory of Belarus. These people should be given humanitarian aid and sent to the countries of their origin. This was stated by EU High Representative for Foreign and Security Policy Josep Borrell, reports TASS.
"The EU will not be able to let any of them in. But they should not die in the woods. The Belarusian side must allow access to provide them with humanitarian aid and repatriate them," said Borrell at a press conference after a meeting of the EU Council in Brussels. He added that Poland is ready to provide such assistance to migrants.
Borrell reminded that "entry into the EU is not free" and it is necessary to have a visa, among other things.
We remind that the day before the EU expanded the criteria for imposing sanctions against the Belarusian authorities, as well as reached an agreement on the fifth package. It will be introduced in the coming days; it will concern the organizers of the migrants' traffic to the EU.
Let us remind you that on November 8th Lukashenka's regime arranged a large scale provocation on the Polish border. Thousands of migrants under the control of Belarusian special services stormed the border of Poland. The Polish side reports that up to 10 thousand illegal immigrants may take part in the next storming of the border.
On November 15, the Belarusian military drove the illegal immigrants under escort from their camp on the border with Poland to the checkpoint at the border.
