Ukrainian Army Comes Close To Kreminna

  • 2.12.2022, 11:52

The occupiers understand that they will not be able to hold the town.

Ukrainian soldiers have already come close to the temporarily occupied Kreminna in Luhansk Region. As the ground in the region is beginning to freeze and the vehicles will be able to move faster - good news on this settlement can soon be expected, and even the Russian occupiers understand this.

The de-occupation of Kreminna opens up roads to Svatove, Severodonetsk and Rubizhne for Ukrainian soldiers. The head of the Luhansk regional military-civil administration, Serhiy Haidai, said this in a nationwide TV marathon.

He noted that winter is gradually coming to Luhansk region. And if previously Ukrainian vehicles could not move forward on the washed-out ground, now the ground is slowly freezing over. If weather conditions do not change, in the near future heavy machinery will be able to move fairly quickly.

In the meantime, Ukrainian soldiers have already come almost close to Kreminna.

"Our troops are already quite close to Kreminna, we showed a video from the Kreminna substation, and it is literally a couple of kilometres from the settlement itself. I really hope that in the near future our Ukrainian Armed Forces will please us with good news - thanks to the weather as well," Haidai said.

He noted that the inevitability of de-occupying Kremenna is obvious even to the occupants.

"The Russians understand perfectly well that they will not be able to hold Kreminna. There are some signs that they understand this, given that we can see that they are building a second powerful defence line near Starobelsk, which is much further inland of Luhansk region. It is well understood that Kreminna will be de-occupied by the AFU in the near future," the head of the Luhansk regional administration stressed.

At the same time, the deoccupation of Kreminna opens up roads for the AFU to major towns in Luhansk Region, particularly to Rubizhne.

"There are roads to different directions from Kreminna. This includes the direction of Svatove, and the direction to our towns - Rubizhne, Severodonetsk. And as a matter of fact, Rubizhne is very close there. The town cannot be a full-fledged fortress. Because after February 24th, when full-scale invasion of Russia started - they have completely destroyed 50% of the town, so they will not entrench there, they will not hold the defence for long, moreover the motivation of our militaries and the invaders is absolutely different. We can see that as soon as they see any threat approaching, they don't hold the line, they just run away," Haidai noted.

However, in any case, the Ukrainian warriors face a difficult task.

"It will still not be an easy walk for our military, because a huge number of personnel have already been brought to the territory of Luhansk Region by the occupiers, and a huge amount of hardware as well. So - I have said it many times and I can repeat it - every meter of Luhansk region is given very, very hard," the administration head stressed.
