Residents of the town of Bashtanka in Mykolayiv Region have seized the Russian Pantsir-S self-propelled anti-aircraft missile system and burnt it down. This was reported by the mayor of Dnipro, Boris Filatov.
"I can't stand victory speeches, rattling weapons and an arrogant faith in success. War is a terrible grief. But this people cannot be defeated. Today the collective farmers of Bashtanka, not realizing it themselves, stole and burned the latest praised Pantsir-S system worth 15 million. The 'winning people' were scattering across Ukrainian fields like rats," Filatov wrote on Facebook.
"Anyone who is interested, google the video about the ''brand new KAMAZ''," the Dnipro mayor added.
Pantsir-S1 is a land- and sea-based self-propelled anti-aircraft missile and cannon system.
March 2 is the seventh day of the full-scale war that Russia launched against Ukraine on February 24. The second round of talks between the Ukrainian and Russian delegations on the border with Belarus is scheduled for today, but it is not known whether they will actually take place.
