The young woman was to be deported from Russia to Belarus.

Relatives of Belarusian Yana Pinchuk detained in Russia have not known anything about her fate for two weeks. They reported this on the Telegram channel “Free Yana Pinchuk!”.

“For two weeks now, we have not known anything about the location of Yana and what condition she is in. In the pre-trial detention center in Vitsebsk, they tell us that she is not there, just like in the pre-trial detention center in Moscow, Smolensk, the Moscow region and Pskov,” the relatives said.

In Belarus, Yana Pinchuk was charged under five criminal articles for the administration of the Vitebsk 97% Telegram channel. She was recognized as a political prisoner by the human rights activists of the Russian “Memorial”.

Yana moved to Russia back in 2018. She was detained on November 1, 2021 in St. Petersburg at the request of the Belarusian security forces. On November 3, the local district court chose a restraint for her in the form of detention.

The second appeal court of St. Petersburg, which took place on July 21, 2022, upheld the decision to deport Belarusian Yana Pinchuk. At home, the young woman faces up to 20 years in prison.
