Footage of a flight of what probably was a Super Puma helicopter that crashed in Brovary appeared on the internet. The leadership of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine were on board.

The footage published by a number of Ukrainian Telegram channels shows that the helicopter was flying in a fog and approaching the city lane.

It is noted that this footage was filmed a few minutes before the State Emergency Service helicopter fell in the middle of Brovary near a kindergarten.

On Wednesday morning, January 18, 2023, residents of Brovary, Kyiv region, reported an explosion in the city, and then a large-scale fire started near a kindergarten.

Later, the Office of the President of Ukraine stated that a helicopter had fallen on a social infrastructure facility in the Kyiv region.

A few hours later, Head of the National Police of Ukraine Ihor Klymenko announced that the leadership of the Ministry of Internal Affairs had died as a result of a helicopter crash in Brovary. On board were Interior Minister Denys Monastyrsky, his first deputy Yevhen Yenin, and Secretary of State Yuri Lubkovich.

According to Head of the Kyiv regional military administration Oleksiy Kuleba, the death toll of the crash has increased. As of 10.30 am, there were 18 dead, including 3 children.
