On New Year's Eve, HIMARS hit a vocational school where Russian military personnel were stationed.
On New Year's night from December 31 to January 1, the Ukrainian armed forces smashed the occupier's base, which was located in the building of a vocational school in Makiivka. HIMARS arrived directly at the building, where hundreds of enemy soldiers had gathered. StratCom reports the deaths of 400 occupiers, with another 300 wounded.
Locals report that the occupier was hit on New Year's Eve.
"There were a huge number of Russian occupants in the vocational school. And they were killed at exactly 00:00. My insider was sitting at his desk and exactly at 'chimes' the glass in the house went out. The lucky friend called this morning. Says: no glass, but in great spirits," reports a social media user.
Other social media users have confirmed the "arrivals" and say there were three in total - at 23:57, 23:59 and 00:00.
Local residents also claim that the entire area around the school was covered with corpses, and they were removed from at least night until lunchtime. Russian munitions reportedly started detonating after the "arrivals".
"I was in the hospital, they were carrying wounded in packs. One of the soldiers said: 'Out of 600, God grant, there are 100 left". In the morning I was on my way, they were still taking bodies out from under the rubble. There was a munitions warehouse in the basement," writes a local resident.
