Russian Court Makes Decision On Belarusian Accused Of BAM Explosion

The Central District Court of Omsk arrested citizen of Belarus Siarhei Yerameyeu, who is accused of blowing up two trains on the Baikal-Amur Mainline (BAM) in Buryatia, until January 30, 2024, a TASS correspondent reports from the courtroom.
“Siarhei Viktaravich Yerameyeu ...> to undergo a preventive measure in the form of detention for a period of 1 month 23 days, that is, until January 30, 2024 ...>. Keep Yerameyeu in a pre-trial detention center in the city of Omsk,” said judge Alexey Polishchuk.
Back on November 29, a carriage of a freight train transporting fuel and non-ferrous metals caught fire in the Severomuysky tunnel. The next day, another train caught fire in the tunnel on the bypass track. In Russia they called the incident a terrorist attack. On December 7, the FSB announced the arrest of a suspect.
