Russians do not know where to run in a panic.

As reported by Charter97.org, there was an explosion in Russia, in the suburbs of Kolomna, near Moscow, on March 2. It was heard throughout all the districts of the town. The blast wave was felt indoors.

According to preliminary reports, the explosion happened around 9:30 p.m. in one of the neighbouring villages near Kolomna in Moscow Region. Russian TV channels say rescuers have been sent to the site, Channel 24 reports.

Local authorities say details of the explosion in Kolomna are not yet known. However, a video has been released online where a loud sound can be heard. According to eyewitnesses, they heard whistling, followed by an explosion. Preliminarily, in the direction of the Peski-Cherkizovo bridge. The cause of the incident is still unknown.

Russians are already panicking online. They write that the windows in some districts were shaking. Some residents say the blaze was out of sight but the impact was high-powered, like a wave.

It is claimed that specialists searched the area from Kolomna to Voskresenskoye, but did not find anything suspicious. The search was suspended until the morning.

Moreover, it is said that the explosion heard by Kolomna residents could have been "the sound of MIG planes going into supersonic speed".

We note that Kolomna is not that far from the Russian capital. The distance to Moscow is 122 kilometres, i.e. 2 hours by car.

The engineering design bureau is located in Kolomna. The network notes that Iskanders are produced there.

Subsequently, a video has appeared showing the fire. In all likelihood, the fire started after the explosion, as smoke can also be seen.

Moscow Preparing For Attack

There is not a single quiet day in Russia these days. Since something explodes in the regions all the time, the Kremlin decided to play it safe. The air defence system of Moscow is being reinforced.

Specifically, back in January, Pantsir-S1 was spotted there near the Russian Defense Ministry, the Ostafyevo airfield, Putin's residence in Novo-Ogarevo and Valdai, and on an office building in Teterinsky Lane in Tagansky District.

In early February, eyewitnesses spotted new systems - the P-18-2 Prima radar was found on the outskirts of Moscow, i.e. near the Salaryevo metro station.
